Voices From the Field: What the industry says about training, talent and the future of construction
In 2025, a comprehensive survey was conducted for NCCER to help understand how the organizations it supports utilize craft training resources and how they value them. This report presents findings from that survey, offering a snapshot of what training tools and materials provide the most value and how they can support a high-quality, nationally recognized system for craft training and career development.
Key Findings:
- 95% of respondents say curriculum, credentials, and training programs are important, very important, or extremely important.
- 93% of respondents say industry-recognized credentials are important, helping to support quality, portability of skills and career mobility.
- About 2/3 of respondents say they expect growth in craft training participation within the next 1-2 years.
