Requirements
Eligibility
Eligibility for the NCCER Certified Construction Foreman credential is dependent on two criteria:
- You must successfully pass the NCCER Construction Foreman Certification assessment.
- You must demonstrate that you meet the minimum experience requirements.
Please review the experience requirements listed below. Note that candidates for the Construction Foreman certification do not have to meet these requirements to be eligible to take the courses and the assessment. However, NCCER will not issue your certification until you meet all requirements.
Experience Requirements
The experience requirement for the NCCER Certified Foreman credential is a minimum of two years of journey-level experience in the craft you currently lead or will be responsible for leading. Experience as crew lead or foreman also satisfies the requirement.
