Developed with seasoned experts from the construction industry, these self-paced online programs are a convenient and robust way to equip your field leaders with new strategies and knowledge for better results.

What is NCCER's Construction Leadership Series?

NCCER's Construction Leadership Series is a collection of online leadership development programs that aim to train and certify construction field leaders. The digital coursework is self-paced, allowing busy professionals to learn at their convenience and without interfering with active project responsibilities.

NCCER's Construction Leadership Series is primarily designed for contractors and construction companies who want to provide formal leadership education and support for their field leaders. What is NCCER's expertise in construction leadership?

For nearly 30 years, NCCER has been the leading provider of training and education resources for the construction industry. An independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit education foundation, NCCER offers curricula and training materials for more than 40 craft areas. NCCER's nationwide network of approved training providers includes more than 5,600 points of delivery.

While NCCER has historically focused on field-level technical skills, we have recently expanded our suite of workforce development solutions to include leadership training, helping fill a critical gap in the industry. To develop content, resources and testing materials for the Construction Leadership Series, NCCER collaborated with experienced subject matter experts from some of the industry's top contractors. The real-world insights, tips and anecdotes from these experts is woven throughout the program's coursework.

Construction Superintendent Certification

The Construction Superintendent Certification Program provides comprehensive project leadership training that goes beyond just field experience.

With courses in ethics, contracts, risk management, project closeout and other key responsibilities, this program is designed to develop current and future superintendents efficiently and effectively.

Construction Foreman Certification

The Construction Foreman Certification Program is designed to provide current and prospective foremen with a solid foundation for their first role in field leadership.  

Participants learn to communicate effectively with crews and lead them efficiently, productively and safely, equipping frontline supervisors with the skills needed to tackle any job site challenge.
